Recombinant Protein A is a cell wall derived protein from Staphylococcus aureus that exhibits unique binding properties for IgG (and some IgM and IgA) from a variety of mammalian sources including human, mouse and rat.

A wide variety of reporter molecules can be conjugated to Protein A, including fluorescent dyes, enzyme markers, biotin, colloidal gold and radioactive iodine.

Applications of Protein A Agarose Beads
Recombinant Protein A can be immobilized onto a solid support such as agarose beads for total IgG purification from serum, ascitic fluid, culture supernatants and cell extracts.
