The compact staining kit includes a stain/reagent bath with lid, a 25-slide staining rack with handle, and drying tray. The polymethylpentene (TPX) construction is suitable for xylene and alcohol (not phenol), most microwave procedures (for up to 5 minutes at a time), and may also be frozen. The bath uses only 150 ml of stain. The tight-sealing lid is light-proof to make the kit appropriate for autoradiography applications.
